Tropical rainforest climate temperature. The three types of tropical climate are classified as Tropical Rainforest or Equatorial Af Tropical Monsoon Am and Tropical Wet and Dry or Savannah Aw. The weather will vary during the dry season as rainfall decreases. Rainforests needs to be in good climate because otherwise the plants will die. Tropical rainforests can have as much as 300 cm of rain a year.
Night temperatures are more variable. The environment is pretty wet in tropical rainforests maintaining a high humidity of 77 to 88 year-round. This gives it a warm temperature and plenty of rain.
The temperature in the winter ranges from 15 degrees to 25 degrees. Such warm temperature leads to lots of evaporation and as the warm moist air rises it cools and eventually condenses and falls back to the Earth as rain. Temperate rainforests are located in regions such as the northwest portion of the United States called the Pacific Northwest.
Annual temperatures usually average around 28C and show little variation from day to day. The highest temperature ever recorded was 103 F 39 C at San Lorenzo while the lowest temperature ever recorded was 38 F 3 C at Aibonito. The rainforest is a plant community of tall trees.
The temperature never drops below 20C and rarely exceeds 35C. The dense vegetation also produces about 40 of the earths oxygen. The Amazon River is located 2 to 4 degrees south of the Equator.
